Two Gypsies Lacquer Bewitched

Over the weekend, something crazy happened. There was a #ShareTheLove campaign going on on Facebook where nail and beauty bloggers were sharing the pages of other bloggers hoping to boost "likes" without having to pay Facebook to boost our posts. A couple of bloggers shared my page (thanks, guys!) and my likes EXPLODED from 68 to 1,886 (currently). I seriously can't believe the interest that people have shown in my fledgling blog and I am so thankful that you chose to follow me. So, welcome to all of the new followers! I was planning on holding a giveaway at 100 Facebook likes but I've decided to expand the giveaway because of all of you new lovelies. Give me a bit to get everything coordinated and keep an eye out for the giveaway post in the next couple weeks. Now, on to today's post...

Two Gypsies Lacquer is a relatively new brand that came on to the scene with a bang. Michelle's first collection garnered a lot of interest and one of those colours, Chilean Chocolate, even ended up on several 2013 top polish lists! Up until now, Two Gypsies has only shipped within the US but Michelle has decided to dip her toe into shipping to Canada and I was lucky enough to be her first test. She sent me four colours to review and one of them, the one I'm showing you today, is from her upcoming Valentine's collection, to be released on January 25th.

This is Bewitched, a dark red vampy jelly that contains different sizes of red and black glitter as well as a subtle blue/green/purple shimmer. The jelly base was nicely pigmented and the formula was a dream to work with. I am in love with the polish and think it is perfect for Valentine's Day without being a super bright red. Shown here is three coats of Bewitched and one coat of Glisten & Glow HK Girl.

  1. Congrats on the likes! You are pretty awesome, so it doesn't surprise me. :)

I really like that this color isn't in-your-face pink but still goes with Valentine's Day perfectly.

    1. Aww... thanks, Kendahl! This polish totally reminds me of raspberry jam - it looks good enough to eat!
