WingDust Wednesday : Muskoka Sunset

Welcome to another edition of WingDust Wednesday! How are you liking the feature so far? Has it inspired you to add some WingDust to your collection?

Today I'm sharing with you one of my favourite WingDust creations - Muskoka Sunset. This one is a favourite for several reasons. First, the glitter Stephanie chose, in conjunction with the base colour, makes for one of the most beautiful combinations I've ever seen. Second, I helped Steph with the inspiration for the name. When this was in the prototype stage Steph was stumped for a name and put it to her fans on Facebook. My husband is from Ontario and this immediately brought to mind a sunset over a lake. Since my husband misses the lakes of Ontario so much and WingDust is based in Ontario I thought the Muskoka region would be perfect. I searched around for pictures and when I found this one I knew it was the one. Luckily, Steph liked it too. :)

For the life of me I can't find the original anymore so I can't link the source. :/

Muskoka Sunset*
This is meant to evoke the memories of every amazing sunset you've ever seen or dreamt of seeing. Medium purple base, blue-purple shimmer. Loaded with peach, purple, pink, periwinkle glitters in round, hex and micro bar shapes. (*description from WingDust Collections.)

This polish is PACKED with glitter and requires a bit more patience to make sure that the glitter doesn't layer on top of itself. That said, I didn't have to fish for any of the larger glitter and it only required minimal dabbing.

Shown here is two coats and one coat of Gelous to smooth things out.

Here come ALL THE PICTURES! Because, really, how could I not? ;)
